After many years of prison ministry experience and mission work in the bush country of Africa, I have come to know there be demons here:
Premise
Ours is a world of two coexisting empires consisting of the "Kingdom" manifested by Believers on earth and the opposing natural world of the flesh. Spiritual creatures, both heavenly and evil, roam about in both realms. Angels of God act according to the charge of heaven, while demons seek to do evil upon the earth and all people.
Basics
It would be well worth while for Believers to be aware of the operations of demons. For example, a popular misconception is that Believers cannot be tormented by demons. Wow, wake up from this inducement to slumber!
Some Believers choose to think that there are no such things as demons. Do you suppose Jesus didn't know what he was talking about? To my way of thinking, the effect of not believing in demons would be like stepping off a high building, claiming that there is no such thing as gravity.
Evil doers, including the people and animals who are controlled by demons, find it easy to operate in the natural world. Kingdom minded Believers are both high value targets to the demonic and the principle resistance thereto. All but the most mundane Believers are subject to frequent attacks of the demonic realm in the form of sickness, torment, and financial lack.
Halloween - Celebration of Demons
Realize how serious this is! America has gone from celebrating "All Saints Day" and the Reformation to a holiday celebrating the demonic. - cooperating in and promoting evil.
In the 8th century AD, a Pope declared November 1st as All Hallows Day (All Saints Day) and the previous night became known as All Hallows Eve. Now we have Halloween a celebration of demons. This came from the Celtic notion that Halloween was a night where spirits of the dead were permitted to return to Earth to find a body to possess.
From the ancient Druids came the Jack-O-Lantern, costumes and masks as symbols of a damned soul. On the night of the Festival of Death they go from home to home demanding special foods. If the people complied, they passed in silence; if their demands were not met, their households were cursed with sickness, lack or death.
Millions of American children and adults participate in Halloween and have made it big business, spending more than $3 billion yearly on candy, costumes, pumpkins and decorations. However, trick or treaters dressed in cute costumes are gullible targets for the entrance of evil through the celebration honoring demons.
My Personal Awakening
In preparation for bringing the cure for Malaria to Africa I was complaining that all I needed was the money, when God so strongly corrected me (See "Putting an END to Financial Lack" at http://Shout-GLORY.info). The Lord said to me, "Do you know that 100 million demons in Africa know your name?" And I remembered having a great difficulty with an encounter with just one. This shook me to the core. What would 100 million demons be like?
I sought the Lord to teach me how to deal with such, and He did. Now, I share the following with other Believers who are interested in overcoming evil such as demons.
